The decision was taken after the PTI chief was allowed to leave after marking his participation outside the Islamabad legal complex
Special District and Sessions Court Zafar Iqbal quashed the arrest warrants issued against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) director Imran Khan in the Toshakhan case.
The choice was made after the previous supreme leader of the state marked his participation outside the legal complex of Islamabad where he should be prosecuted under the circumstances.
The consultation was scheduled for Saturday, but due to riots and commotion where police and PTI workers clashed outside the premises, the conference was called off until the 30th walk (Thursday).
Justice Zafar Iqbal said that this circumstance did not favor the organization of the assembly and demonstration and that every one of the people gathered there should disperse peacefully.
Justice Zafar Iqbal allowed Imran Khan to leave early after his participation was separated from the G-11 legal complex amid tussles between the police and party allies.
Extreme conflicts broke out between the various parties when Imran's entourage came to the legal complex ahead of the party chief's appearance before the local court and the Toshakhan (gift vault) case.
The PTI director's vehicle was prevented only 100 meters from entering the legal mess as the police accused the partisans of disrupting the course while the PTI guaranteed that the legal authorities were curtailing Imran's development.
Regardless of the end of court hours, Imran Khan could not appear before the judge.
Justice Zafar Iqbal expressed that due to constant threats between Islamabad Police and PTI workers outside the Legal Matt, the consultation and demonstration could not take place under these circumstances.
After checking the presence of Imran Khan, he asked all those present to disperse peacefully without resorting to any vice like shelling or stone pelting.
He also mentioned that the consultation cannot take place today and the next date of the conference has to be closed after getting the PTI chief's marks.
The PTI chief shunned Lahore without daring given his impenetrable vehicle at the door of the Legal Complex.
Earlier, Imran Khan had filed an application in the court stating that he is available at the entrance outside the premises and his presence should be noted at the door.
As the court resumed proceedings today, PTI Warden Khawaja Haris informed Justice Iqbal that Imran came to the door but was detained before entering the premises.
Justice Iqbal asked for what reason the PTI leader was turned away from entering the premises. A legal adviser to the Decision Commission of Pakistan (ECP) noted that Imran "should have been here when the trial started at 8:30".
The judge went on to say that the severed head was "heavy on the face" and added that the court should hang for him.
PTI legal counsel Awan has also tentatively prepared another request for the party chief.
The previous chief had mentioned the court to send his staff to investigate his involvement and "initiate contempt of court proceedings against the police".
After a short break, Justice Iqbal ordered the court staff to bring a police officer with them and bring Imran under the constant gaze of the court.
To this, PTI's counsel mentioned that the judge had sent PTI agents with court staff, to which the appointed authority agreed.
Justice Iqbal then ordered the court delegate to stamp Imran's presence outside the court premises. "Imran can come back once the participation is marked," said the appointed authority.
Based on court orders, court staff, and Babar Awan took over the court to check the PTI chief's presence.
Haris also informed the court that Senior Chief Shibli Faraz is being "tortured" by the police. To this, the judge commented that he needed to end the ongoing agitation.
The conference setting was changed to the G-11 Legal Complex rather than F-8 Katcheri due to security concerns raised by the previous chief. The conference will be chaired by Justice Zafar Iqbal.
PTI General Secretary Asad Umar strongly condemned the police for "preventing Imran from going to court". He added that the previous state leader was close to the court and alleged that the police were holding up traffic.
Umar also said that although Imran was allowed to approach the court, the police started shelling him with poison gas.
Imran made an interesting appearance in court today after a revised summons for seven hearings. A day earlier, the Islamabad High Court stayed the non-bailable warrants issued against the PTI director till today and offered him an opportunity to appear voluntarily under the watchful eye of the court.
